A unique sculptural work created using the artist’s own ‘Lacera’ technique. This piece forms part of the ‘Lacera’ collection within the ‘Mended Forms’ series. Presented in a vertical position, the form is unfolded and held in tension by its very structure. The tactile surface, in delicate shades of ecru, is complemented by a subtle ‘Tiffany’ style accent, reflecting the colour palette of the ‘Duo’ composition. The cut-outs and edges clearly define the silhouette. The piece is crafted from a paper-based sculptural clay developed by the artist, combined with suede laces woven into the structure. Originally conceived as a sculptural object, it can also serve as a stand for minimalist arrangements of dried plants.
