‘Everything’s Rosy’ is a unique contemporary sculpture created using the artist’s own Lacera technique. The title of the work stems from the familiar response to the simple question: ‘How are you?’ — ‘Everything’s rosy’. A light-hearted, carefree façade, yet the former integrity is no longer possible. And in this vessel, fragility becomes not a weakness, but a form of inner strength. Its fractures and joints seem to preserve the memory of what was broken, altered, and reassembled differently — and yet continues to exist, preserving itself. The form visually resembles an unopened rosebud. Here, the artist leaves room for the viewer’s own reflection. ‘All in a Little Rose’ — about that strength which is not always visible. About the ability to hold on, not because nothing has happened, but in spite of what has happened. Where overcoming has become a form. The artist’s proprietary cellulose-composite clay allows for the creation of light, delicate and visually fragile forms, whilst possessing high archival durability, and will delight the collector and their descendants for generations to come.
